November 2023 Meeting and Pinch Pots with Paul Weishaar

The November Meeting is Thursday the 16th and will feature Paul Weishaar demonstrating how to make Pinch Pots.  This will be a “hands-on” demonstration so come ready to get your hands dirty. You might want to bring an apron, such as this nice, emboidered BSGC one!  Paul made a cameo appearance at the October meeting and showed off a few of the pot others had made.

If you’re new to Bonsai or have never made your own pots, this is a great opportunity to learn and have a lot of fun.  It just requires a bit of imagination!  You will receive a “brick” of clay, and instructions from Paul on how to mold it into a pot the size and shape of your choosing.  Paul will take the pots back to his studio, fire them, and return them at the February 2024 meeting.

The cost is $30.00 per person which includes the firing. Please make a reservation so Paul knows how many bricks of clay to bring.
