Workshop Date

Bonsai artist Mark Fields will be facilitating an intermediate/advanced workshop on Japanese maple (Acer palmatun 'straight green') and will discuss care and styling of these beautiful trees.  Maple can be challenging due to the somewhat brittle nature of their branches, so Mark will help you navigate the optimal ways to train these trees for bonsai.  The workshop includes a very nice Japanese maple that already has great character with bending and twisting trunks, which a trunk diameter of 1/2" or more.  You'll walk away from the workshop with new knowledge on this quintisential bonsai species, and a tree well on it way to becoming a fine specimen in your bonsai collection.
