For our February meeting, visiting bonsai artist Ryan Huston will speak about native bonsai species for Yamadori.

For this Beginner's Workshop, participants learned about bonsai and styled some great water jasmine trees1

We had a great time with visiting bonsai artist Jason Parrish, who did a demo on a twisted up Scotch/Scots Pine.  On Friday we were at the Krohn doing 1-1 styling, and on Saturday we had the Scoth/Scots Pine workshop.  We plan to bring him back next year for a follow-up meeting and workshop.

This Member's Workshop features a day with Jason Parrish learning about and styling Scotch pine (pinus sylvestris). The workshop includes a nice Scotch pine pre-bonsai.  You will need to bring your own tools and wire, and copper wire is recommended but not required.
